Alicia Duncan is an author, speaker, and advocate whose work was shaped by the loss of her mother following Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD).

After a minor car accident left her mother struggling with post-concussion syndrome and complex health challenges, Alicia witnessed firsthand the gaps in Canada's healthcare and assisted dying systems.

Today, she writes, speaks, and advocates for greater transparency, accountability, and meaningful safeguards within Canada's MAiD system.
